Knife-threat suspect arrested in Kibler Park after swift security response

A swift response by Fox Security led to the arrest of a knife-wielding man in Kibler Park, preventing further harm and restoring calm to the community.

Kibler Park residents were left shaken following an incident in which a man allegedly threatened the public with a knife and attempted to stab a person at a shop.

According to information received, Fox Tactical members immediately responded after the alert was raised. Upon arrival, the team searched the area, trying to find the man.

They soon found him, and he tried to flee when he saw the security officers.

However, due to the swift and co-ordinated response of the team, he was apprehended within seconds and detained.

The man was later handed over to the SAPS for further investigation and processing.

Security officials commended the quick actions of all the role players involved and urged community members to remain vigilant and continue reporting suspicious activity.

“Community co-operation is vital to keeping our neighbourhoods safe,” Francois Jansen, the director of Fox Security, said.

No injuries were reported.
