Fox Security nets multiple suspects in Alberton crime crackdown
A series of rapid-response operations and community tip-offs lead to arrests, a recovered robbery-linked vehicle, and reinforced partnerships with law enforcement across Alberton and surrounding areas.
Fox Security has reported a series of successful operations across Alberton and nearby areas, resulting in multiple arrests and the recovery of a vehicle linked to serious crimes.
Abandoned vehicle in Randhart linked to business robbery
In one incident, a member of the public reported an abandoned vehicle in the Randhart area of Alberton.

Following an investigation, it was confirmed that the vehicle had been taken during a business robbery in Meyerton.
“We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the member of the public who took the time to report the vehicle. Your vigilance and cooperation play a vital role in assisting us in the fight against crime,” said Fox Security director, Francois Jansen.
Suspect apprehended in Mondeor after LPR alert
In a separate operation, Fox Security’s control room received an alert from its licence plate recognition cameras identifying a wanted vehicle travelling through the Mondeor and Glenvista areas.

The vehicle was reportedly linked to a house robbery and murder.
Fox Tactical teams located the vehicle and maintained surveillance while awaiting support from Johannesburg K9 SAPS and JMPD Tactical Response Unit (TRU).
The driver was subsequently apprehended and taken to Mondeor SAPS for further investigation.
“This success highlights the importance of strong partnerships between private security and law enforcement agencies in ensuring safer communities,” added Jansen.
Suspect arrested following theft at Alberton business
In Alberton, Fox Security’s reaction team responded to a panic alarm at a business premises after CCTV footage captured a suspect stealing items from a vehicle.
The suspect later returned to the property and was apprehended on site before being handed over to Alberton SAPS.
Attempted break-in foiled in Alberton North basement parking
In another incident in Alberton North, a suspect was caught attempting to break into vehicles in a basement parking area.

The individual had gained entry by lifting a gate off its rails and was found hiding under a vehicle upon the arrival of reaction units. He was arrested and handed over to the police.
“Since April started, our teams have worked tirelessly to respond to incidents and protect the communities we serve. These arrests demonstrate our commitment, vigilance and rapid response capabilities,” said Jansen.
Fox Security has encouraged residents and businesses to remain alert and to continue reporting suspicious activity, emphasising that community cooperation remains a crucial element in the ongoing fight against crime.
