Successful youth event in La Rochelle

Councillor urge the youth to attend other activities at the Corinthians.

Corinthians FC in La Rochelle recently hosted a successful youth event.

Ward 57 Clr Faeeza Chame said the club has grown tremendously in the last four years.

“We hosted the event with the founder of Corinthians, Jack Msibi, the CoJ Sports and Recreation, Dare To Care International from Washington DC, SANCA, JMPD Anti-Corruption Unit, Lucky Lekgwathi Foundation (former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates captain), Lebo Pelesane (Mavhango actor), radio personality DJ and various media houses.

“We want to encourage our youth to visit the centre and the soccer field in La Rochelle. It is a good way to keep our youth occupied after school and during school holidays, to play soccer, cricket and netball among other activities,” she said.
