Water leak leaves Joburg south residents high and dry
Johannesburg Water has scheduled maintenance on the rising main at Forest Hill Pump Station.
Johannesburg Water is repairing infrastructure that has left many residents in the Southern Suburbs without water this Tuesday, April 18.
According to Johanessburg Water, the reason for the water disruption is due to the repair of a leak on the rising main at Forest Hill Pump Station.
The water utility said the project commenced this morning at 8:00 am and it will last until 5:00 pm.
The following areas are affected:
Haddon, Lindberg Park, Bellavista Estate, Forest Hill, Chrisville, West Turffontein, Gillview, Oakdene, Rosettenville, Toweby, Townview Kenilworth and The Hill.
Johannesburg Water has apologised for the inconvenience caused by the outage.
