Region F libraries, various organisations and stakeholders empower the youth

The event was packed with inspiration and empowerment to help the youth kickstart their careers.

Region F libraries hosted their Youth Month Programme under the theme Careers and Skills Development on June 4 at the Brixton Multipurpose Centre, and it was nothing short of amazing.

The libraries welcomed stakeholders and organisations, including the National Youth Development Agency, the Department of Labour, SDC-Skills Development Co-Operation, The Library E-Learning Unit, the Metropolitan, the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration, the JHB Culinary & Pastry School, the International Therapy Examination Council – Beauty Therapy International Leadership, the Central JHB TVET College and Sci-Bono Discovery Centre.

Deputy director for the City of Johannesburg Public Libraries, Ben Ramela, said, “They came together to share a wealth of opportunities available to our youth and guide them towards a brighter future.”

From career advice to skill-building workshops, this event had valuable insights and resources to help our youth thrive in today’s world.

“We are thankful to everyone who joined us and made this day unforgettable. Together, we are shaping a future filled with endless possibilities for our youth,” added Ramela.

The future of tomorrow is empowered during a presentation.
