City of Johannesburg Revenue Department hosts awareness campaign
The City of Johannesburg Revenue Department held an on-site awareness campaign at the Mall of the South to assist pensioners and other community members with essential services.
The campaign was focused on ensuring pensioners are informed about the rebates available to them, as well as providing personalised guidance on checking their rebate application status and linking customer accounts for easy access to online statements.
SAPS representatives were on site to assist with the certification of important documents.
Throughout the day, the dedicated team provided one-on-one assistance to attendees, ensuring they understood the requirements and steps involved.

Many visitors left the event with a clear understanding of their application status and accounts; for those needing further support, they were given detailed feedback on their cases.
For others, the team helped set up online accounts, allowing them to receive and review their statements digitally, saving time and ensuring convenient, reliable account management from the comfort of their homes.
This campaign is part of the department’s ongoing commitment to serving the community with efficiency, accessibility, and empathy by providing pensioners and other residents with the knowledge and tools needed to manage their accounts online.
