Nova Pioneer Ormonde celebrates Class of 2024

The Class of 2024 was honoured at Nova Pioneer Ormonde’s annual valediction ceremony, recognising their academic achievements, leadership, and dedication to the school’s core values. Vibrant performances and heartfelt speeches marked a memorable celebration of their journey and bright futures ahead.

Nova Pioneer Ormonde Senior School hosted its much-anticipated annual valediction ceremony, honouring the outstanding achievements of the Class of 2024 on November 14.

The event, which took place at the school, was a celebration of academic excellence, leadership, personal growth, and the embodiment of the Nova Pioneer culture principles that guide students throughout their academic journey.

Vibrant performances and heartfelt speeches marked the celebration of their journey and the bright futures ahead.

The ceremony featured a dynamic and inspiring programme, with speeches from several graduates, including Ipeleng Kungwane, Minahal Butt, and Precious Ndlela.

The student council chairperson, Owami Dladla, and Nova Pioneer’s COO, Rahel Wondwossen, delivered motivating addresses, encouraging learners to carry forward their drive for excellence beyond the walls of the school.

The ceremony also included vibrant performances, including a heartfelt poem by Bokamoso Hlapane, which touched on themes of resilience and hope.

A collaborative music and dance performance by the grades eight and nine classes added an extra layer of excitement, showcasing the creative talents of younger learners in the school community.

Chinezi Chijioke Founder’s award: Nhlakanipho Magazi – for exemplifying all of Nova Pioneer’s cultural principles and demonstrating unwavering leadership.

Leadership and Innovation award: Sumia Mahmood – for her initiative in peer tutoring and commitment to academic excellence and innovation.

Principal’s award: Bhavesh Thulsie – for showcasing exceptional growth, maturity, and a commitment to self-improvement.
