Calvary Christian College honours its stars of the week

The learners are reaching for excellence one week at a time.

The Foundation Phase at Calvary Christian College believes every learner deserves recognition for their unique strengths and accomplishments.

The school is thrilled to shine the spotlight on its ‘stars of the week’. What makes their ‘stars of the week’ programme unique is that every learner gets a turn to shine, regardless of their academic performance.

A school representative said: “We believe every child has something special to offer and it is our job to nurture and celebrate their talents and strengths.”

Learners recognised for their creative expressions in the classroom.

The ‘stars of the Week’ get recognition for a wide range of achievements – from helping others in need to demonstrating exceptional creativity in their work.

“We had stars that showed respect, kindness and empathy towards their peers and teachers,” shared the representative.

By acknowledging and celebrating these positive qualities, Calvary Christian College boosts the learners’ confidence and self-esteem and aims to foster a positive and supportive school culture.

The learners are happy about their performance.

This programme celebrates the good deeds, positive behaviour and outstanding efforts of learners.

Every week, each class and grade selects a ‘star of the week’ who embodies the values of kindness, perseverance and teamwork.

“We commend our ‘stars of the week’ for their hard work; your kindness and dedication to excellence have not gone unnoticed. Keep shining, and remember, every small act of kindness and goodness can make a big difference.”

Recognising the efforts of these young minds encourages them to work harder.
