Keep your environment clean with SOJO business
The South of Joburg is a vibrant area full of potential, yet we face significant challenges in maintaining the cleanliness and beauty of our community.

Founded in 2003, SOJO is a non-profit organisation that emerged from the merger of the Booysens Business Forum and the Southern Business Partnership, which began with just five members in 1998.
Today they are proudly representative of a growing collective dedicated to uplifting business and tourism in the South of Johannesburg—from Booysens to Aeroton, encompassing eight precincts.
The SOJO Business and Tourism members include prominent local businesses such as Gold Reef City, Thaba Eco Hotel, Mall of the South, The Glen Shopping Centre, ExpoGuys Aeroton, iProp Properties, 4Racing Turffontein Race Course, SEEFF Alberton and Kibler Park, Johannesburg Expo Centre, FNB Stadium and Bosch Expedi-8.
These establishments actively support efforts to combat crime and grime, with some members funding surveillance camera poles to enhance community safety. Additionally, the SOJO Cleaning Team dedication is committed to cleaning up eight main arterial roads in the South of Joburg.
They need you to make a difference by signing up as a member of SOJO Business & Tourism, you become part of a movement focused on collaboration and sustainable development in our neighbourhood.
Here are more ways you can contribute:
• Clean up your space:
Begin by maintaining your own pavements. Cut the grass, pick up litter, and encourage your family and neighbours to join you in these efforts.
• Educate others:
Help spread awareness about the importance of keeping our community clean.
Teach your family and friends to avoid throwing rubbish out of car windows or on the ground—no one should feel it’s someone else’s responsibility to clean up
• Carry a bag:
When you go for a walk, bring a bag to collect litter along the way. Every piece of trash collected makes a difference.
