Sharing Kindness Foundation distributes food donation from DEOPR to South Hills residents

Foundation continues charity work across Joburg south.

The Sharing Kindness Foundation (SKF) received a food donation from the Directorate Enforcing Older Persons Rights (DEOPR) on April 13, sparking an immediate distribution drive across Johannesburg.

SKF members drove directly to South Hills after receiving the donation, where they handed over food supplies to community leader, Delores Camp.

Delores uses the provisions to prepare meals for local elderly residents and children in her area.

The impact of the donation extends beyond South Hills; a portion of the food was also sent to Krugersdorp, where the Gimel Foundation serves meals to the homeless on a weekly basis.

SKF founder Nic Janse Van Rensberg praised the collaborative effort

“When organisations like DEOPR step up to support the vulnerable, it creates a ripple effect, where as many people as possible can benefit. One donation becomes warm meals for residents in South Hills and hope for someone sleeping on the street in Krugersdorp. That’s the power of sharing kindness; it travels,” Nic concluded.

The Sharing Kindness Foundation confirmed it will continue partnering with local facilities and community leaders to ensure donations reach those most in need.
