Women find strength and sisterhood at Cosmic Haven gathering
Nearly 70 women from Johannesburg's southern suburbs came together for a day of workshops, wellness activities and meaningful conversations focused on confidence, connection and personal growth.
Cosmic Haven brought together nearly 70 women from across the southern suburbs of Johannesburg for a day dedicated to empowerment, healing, personal growth and sisterhood.
The event provided women with an opportunity to connect, celebrate their strength and share experiences while taking part in activities focused on personal development and well-being.
Community and personal strength
Founder and director of Cosmic Haven, Leola Rammble, said the gathering was an important reminder of the strength women can find in community.
“When women come together in a safe and supportive space, something powerful happens. We begin to realise that we are not alone in our experiences and that our stories, strengths and voices have the power to inspire one another. This day was about creating that space for women to heal, grow and recognise the power within themselves,” said Rammble.
Poetry, yoga and reflection
The day opened with a poetry reading by two Cosmic Haven volunteers, who shared pieces from their personal journals.

Their readings explored themes of vulnerability, courage and finding the strength to speak one’s truth.
Attendees then took part in a guided yoga session before joining a mini workshop led by Rammble, author of The Power Within workbook.
The workshop encouraged women to reflect on their personal power, identify limiting beliefs and develop greater self-confidence.
A second poetry reading followed, before a self-defence demonstration highlighted the importance of both inner and physical strength.
Panel discussion and creative expression
The afternoon featured a panel discussion with local women leaders, who shared their experiences of leadership, confidence and overcoming challenges.

Attendees were also given an opportunity to ask questions and share their own experiences.
The event concluded with a Tai Chi session and an art therapy activity. Through art, participants were able to express their thoughts and emotions in a creative and reflective way.
Building connections
By the end of the day, many attendees had formed new connections and shared experiences. The gathering highlighted the importance of women supporting, encouraging and uplifting one another.
Cosmic Haven expressed its gratitude to its sponsors, volunteers, community members and panel speakers for helping make the celebration possible.
The organisation continues to create opportunities for women to connect, grow and embrace their personal strength.
