Joburg South schools celebrate their matric results

The Southern Courier visited Mondeor High School, Glenvista High School and Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite High school on January 20 to share their delight.

Several schools whose learners took the Independent Examination Board and National Senior Certificate received outstanding results in 2022.

After a long wait, they have finally received their results, and many of them intend to continue their studies and achieve their goals in life.

Mondeor High School

The Mondeor High School celebrated their achievement and out of 321 learners, 88.7% of them passed.

The school is really proud and believe they will be successful in whatever they do.

Glenvista High School

Glenvista High School expressed its excitement of its 96% pass rate.

Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic while in Grades 10 and 11, the Class of 2022 successfully pulled through and made the college proud.

Out of 252 learners who wrote, 96% of them passed and 143 learners obtained a bachelor’s pass. Nabeel Mohaed bagged eight distintions and Liam De Saldanah with seven distinctions.

Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite High School

Our Lady of Lebanon obtained a 100% IEB matric pass, with top achiever Tshegofatso Khatle bagging five distinctions

This was the first matriculants for the school and the school is proud and wishes everyone the best.

Glenvista High School: Meshan Palani, Lushen Govender, Kalin Rangasamy, Aluwani Mphafudi and
Refedotse Banda.
Mondeor High School’s Katleo Pakane, Siyabonga Mkhabela and Kutlwano Pelotona.
Glenvista High School: Sphinhlenhle Miya, Ofhani Mathephe and Funzani Mangage.
Glenvista High School: Nabeel Mohammed (eight distinctions) and Liam de Saldanah (seven distinctions).
Mondeor High School: Aphiwe Khumalo and Ayibongwe Ncube.
Mondeor High School learners: Mbali Banturaki, Boitumelo Kodisang, Tatum Daly and Raekwon Arendse.
Mondeor High School: Nthateng Lehobye and Tiyana Mungadi.
Glenvista High School: Shaylin Naidoo, Thapelo Baholo, Lunga Masiza, Bongile Dube and Nkateko Khoza.
Glenvista High School: Snegugu Motaung.
