WATCH: Teletubbies ECD Centre helps keep Ormonde girls in school
The parents and learners came together to help young girls at Ormonde Primary School attend class with confidence and dignity.
Teletubbies ECD Centre has shown the true meaning of giving back by donating around 140 sanitary pads to Grade Six and Grade Seven girls at Ormonde Primary School.
The ECD centre believes that sanitary pads are a basic need and that no learner should have to miss school or worry about managing their period because they cannot afford them.
The centre chose to support Grade Six and Grade Seven learners because many girls at this age are starting their menstrual cycles.

By providing sanitary pads, the donation aims to help learners feel more confident and comfortable while attending school.
The donation was made possible through the generosity of the Teletubbies ECD Centre community.
Parents supported the initiative by donating sanitary pads, allowing the centre to collect approximately 140 pads for the school.
Principals Thobile and Thembi Maphalala of the ECD centre thanked the ECD centre and its families for their kindness.
“We are truly grateful to Teletubbies ECD Centre and all the parents and teachers who contributed to this meaningful donation. Their generosity will make a real difference in the lives of our learners and reminds us that a caring community can help remove barriers to education,” she said.
