When someone tells you they don’t like or are not good at something, encourage them to use the word ‘yet’. “I don’t like this ‘yet’ leaves room for change.” “I am not good at this ‘yet’ gives space for improvement.”
I have personally read, heard and watched so many powerful stories. I picked up something from these powerful stories, they all have a hero or heroine. What distinguishes a hero or a heroine from the rest is that they face huge challenges that most people are not willing to face. By the time the movie or story comes to an end, they are the ones full of blood, bruises, sweat, tears, torn clothes, exhausted and more often than not, alone. A story does not qualify and will never be classified as big (classic or powerful) without a huge challenge and this huge challenge brings with it bruises, blood and all the likes, but the hero or heroine ultimately stands tall, scathed of course.
Whether you like it or not, you are creating a story with how you live your life every day. The story you are creating right now is either a comedy, fiction, horror, sad story or a classic.
If you always want convenience and comfort and are busy complaining about how unfair life is towards you, you are definitely not creating a classic or powerful story. Why not just choose to create a powerful story as the time and conditions for creating these stories are the same (24 hour days, four seasons, economy, political landscape, people, etc.).
You are not a mistake or born to play small. God said: ‘Yes’ to your life long before you were conceived. You were born to make your life count and always know that something as powerful as you cannot be contained or stopped, maybe delayed along the way, but not stopped. You are born to win!
