The City of Johannesburg reviews its Rates Policy annually with the purpose to determine categories of properties, which will then be rated according to a tariff.
Ratepayers and interested parties are invited and are encouraged to get involved in the drafting of the 2014/2015 Rates Policy. Your suggestions and recommendations are important to us as we are to consult with you with regards to the drafting of the Rates Policy before implementation. This is in terms of the Municipal Property Rates Act 6 of 2004.
