I would like to thank and appreciate our ward councillor of Ward 125, Clr Peter Stewart, for his assistance.
I had a water bypass in my house in Meredale Extension 28. I tried to lodge the problem with Joburg Water, but was told there was no such code in their system to report a bypass. (This was communicated to me by the supervisor in the call centre).
I contacted Stewart, who took the initiative to report the problem and obtain the reference number for me.
He continued to do the follow-up with Joburg Water as no office wanted to take responsibility for sorting the problem out and he visited our home to inspect the bypass.
Through his dedication and taking care of his community, he made sure that my problem was fixed. Thank you.
