The year 2020 has been an unusual academic year; I would like to thank the educators who saved the academic year.
This is after schools were disrupted and forced to shut down as a means to curb the spread of Covid-19.
I also thank the parents for their support during this difficult time. I thank the enforcement agencies and various organisations for the part they played in the smooth running of the exams.
The numbers of matric candidates in 2020 were even higher due to the additional learners who were supposed to have written NSC exams in June.
I want to extend praises and congratulations to each and every learner in getting over this hurdle and preparing yourselves for the next chapter of your lives.
Remember the sky is the limit. Do not live your lives with regret. Choose wisely in your career pathing.
Not all may become lawyers, doctors and teachers or get a place in a university. Not all may have passed. Not all may have achieved the type of passes that you have expected.
Some may have fallen on the wayside but it is not the end of the world. Remember failure is a stepping stone to success.
