Teens off to France for UEFA
The players are on their way to the home of the ongoing UEFA EURO 2016 tournament.
COPA Coca-Cola will once again provide a platform for the best up-and-coming football talent to shine.
Altogether eight young enthusiastic young soccer players were selected to represent South Africa at the COPA Coca-Cola Global camp.
The camp will take place this week in Paris, where they will be joining over 100 footballing teens from around the world. The six-day trip will be packed with training sessions, workshops, matches, events and coaching and guidance from members of French Ligue 1 champions, Paris San Germain’s coaching team.
These soccer players from South Africa will also be rubbing shoulders with none other than Spain and Barcelona legend, Xavi Hernandez, who will take up the role of ambassador for the camp.
The eight COPA Coca-Cola graduates who will join other young talents from around the world are Siyabonga Mkhwanazi, Leathan Croats, Sebaco Rebaone, Mandla Mokoena, Likhanye Ndlende, Zaba Nxumalo, Kagiso Khulu and Lankie Khoza.
The players caught the eye of selectors at the COPA Coca-Cola National finals in 2015 and as a result, they are on their way to the home of the ongoing UEFA EURO 2016 tournament to test their skills and fly the South African flag on the global stage.
The COPA Coca-Cola Global Camp takes place from June 29 to July 4.
