The first Jozi Games will take place from May 5 to 7, at the Wanderers Club.
The city’s corporate teams will take part in various sporting codes against each other as they battle it out for individual and team titles to see which South African companies reign supreme – not in the boardroom, but on the sports field.
The event gives employees from various organisations across Gauteng and surrounds the opportunity to compete against each other in a multisport championship, nurturing not only employee wellness, but employee social development too.
The Jozi Games enables sports enthusiasts, regardless of their sporting ability, to play their favourite sport in a fun, multisport event with friends and colleagues, providing for great social interaction outside of the office.
Using the existing facilities available at the Wanderers Sports Club, Jozi Games will offer tournaments in five-a-side soccer, basketball, Jack Attack Bowls, Supa Eight Cricket, squash, tennis, one-touch rugby, Fast-Five’s Netball, Cross-fit and two-man scramble golf. A 5km fun run will also be held. All events are targeted at all levels of fitness and ability.
Discovery Soccer Park, organiser of the Jozi Games, brings to the event strong, credible event management associated with its seven-year tenure as custodians of the soccer park at the Wanderers Sports Club.
