Moffatview SAPS empowers traders and dealers to help fight crime
The workshop aimed to educate traders and dealers on compliance and their role in preventing crime in the community.
Moffatview SAPS recently held a Liquor and Second-Hand Goods Compliance Inspection Training Workshop for traders and dealers as it continues to strengthen its efforts to combat crime and promote safer communities.
The workshop aimed to educate traders and dealers on the importance of complying with the laws and regulations governing the sale of liquor and second-hand goods.
Through this initiative, Moffatview SAPS demonstrated its commitment to crime prevention, community safety and building strong partnerships with local businesses.
Compliance plays an important role in fighting crime by helping prevent the illegal sale of liquor and the trade in stolen goods.

By following required procedures, keeping proper records, and operating within the law, traders and dealers can help the police identify stolen property and prevent criminals from using businesses to dispose of stolen items.
Through workshops like these, Moffatview SAPS continues to raise awareness, encourage accountability, and empower the business community to become active partners in the fight against crime.
Such initiatives highlight the importance of working together to create safer communities for everyone.
According to Captain Yunus Mehtar of Moffatview SAPS, another workshop will be held for traders and dealers who did not attend the previous session.
The date of the next workshop will be announced in due course.
