SAPS WARNING – Goods sellers stealing from residents
The suspects pretend to be selling goods but actually steal valuable by distracting residents.
BOOYSENS – SAPS management is warning the community of suspects who are going door to door and act like they are selling goods.
Detectives at the police station are advising residents not to allow strangers into their homes unless identity has been confirmed.
“They ask to use the bathroom or to have some water but while residents are busy talking to one of them, the other steals their personal belongings,” said the Booysens SAPS Communications Officer, Warrant Officer Lorraine van Emmerik.
