44 suspects busted

BOOYSENS police arrested 44 suspects for various crimes between Monday, September 7, and Sunday, September 13.

The arrests included:

n Armed robbery – one,

n Assault – three,

n Assault with grievous bodily harm – four,

n Contravention of liquor act – three,

n Drinking in public – 10,

n Housebreaking and theft – one,

n Malicious injury to property – one,

n Possession of dagga – one,

n Possession of drugs – three,

n Possession of hijacked motor vehicle – seven,

n Possession of illegal firearm – one,

n Possession of stolen goods – two,

n Possession of stolen motor vehicle – two,

n Robbery common – one,

n Shoplifting – two,

n Theft – one and

n Violation of a protection order – one.
