Tu Pac Shakur’s Outlawz to perform at Gold Reef City
The first performance is at The Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City, on November 30 at 8.30pm.
THE Outlawz, a group started by the late hip-hop legend himself Tu-Pac Shakur in 1995 when he was released from prison, is coming to South Africa.
Known by the more mature hip-hop crowd, the group will perform in South Africa for the first time as part of the Motherland Tour, which is made possible by 8TRILL, an international hip-hop and RNB promotion house. The Outlawz are famous for their hit song with Tu-Pac titled Hit ‘em up.
The first performance is at The Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City, on November 30 at 8.30 pm. On December 4, the Outlawz takes to the stage at the Cape Town International Convention Centre before wrapping up the tour at Mossel Bay Town Hall on December 5.
Some of the members of Outlawz have died and others converted to Islam; and regrettably, others fell by the wayside along the way.
The two members who are still the most active are Malcolm Greenidge, aka E.D.I. Mean, also known as E.D.I. Don, and Rufus Cooper, III aka Young Noble, the last member added by Tu-Pac to the legendary hip-hop group.
Tickets are ranging from R180 to R590.
International acts: OUTLAWZ (USA), DJ Jae Synth (USA), Duece Duece (Canada).
South African acts: DJ Ready D, Dante Thee Dante, Kulax, King Slave Boris and more.
