Motorists are advised to be vigilant of hijackers in and around Alberton.
According to Alberton SAPS’ spokesperson, Capt Manare Ramotshela, this comes after an alarming number of reports of culprits who are reported to using various methods of hijacking.
“On May 25 an Avanza was stolen at Leondale around 7pm. Again, on May 26 on the N12 freeway there was a hijacking of a bakkie which was taken using a firearm,” he said.
He appealed to the community to come forward with any information related to these crimes.
