Protective Force embarks on a clean-up

In partnership with other stakeholders, Protective Force, a security service company, dedicated a morning to clean up a busy park in Kibler Park, along Annes View Road, on September 26.
A few community members also joined in on keeping the park in a good state. As the day progressed, the team, which compromised both young and old, gathered to rid the area of invasive plants and refuse.
Not only was this clean-up aimed at keeping the community clean, it was also targeted at creating environmental awareness.
According to Adelia Hamburg of Protective Force, the clean-up was successful in bringing the community together.
“The whole goal is to clean up the area and by so doing, it will also get rid of crime and in turn discourage illegal dumping. This is our first time doing something like this in the area. Through the clean-up, people socialised as well, so it was more of a social thing,” she said.
Natasja Mantoua, chairperson of Upper Kibler Park, thanked the support received from the community in making the clean-up a success.
