Active Youngins Foundation hosts Unity Arts Festival to help the community

Active Youngins Foundation (AYF) is putting the final touches in place for the Unity Arts Festival to be held at Rosettenville Central Primary School on November 7.

Part of the festival will be a pageant. A plus-size category for ages 18 to 25 has been added.

Organiser of AYF Jimmy Ntuli said they are encouraging all designers to partner with them to support the pageant.

“We request the parents to sign a consent forms for the participants of the pageant. “We are very happy with the entries so far and October 20 is the closing date. We are still pleading to anyone who might assist us with sound systems and prizes as this is an entry-free pageant, to assist.

“Indalo Modelling and Creative Agency, BN Photographic Visuals, Canvas Gear and Ayanda Films have all joined us and we are looking for more partners to crown the Miss Rosettenville Princess and Miss Teen Princes,” he said.

“People who are interested in bringing their craft to display on the day can still book a spot.”

He said the festival will be used to fight gender-based violence.
