St Matin's Preparatory School unveils OR Tambo's memorial wall.
The late OR Tambo attended St Martin’s Preparatory School, which was called St Peters. The school wishes to encourage and teach its learners to follow Tambo’s values.
Trustees of the Tambo Foundation unveiled the OR Tambo memorial wall on 30 April.
CEO of the Tambo Foundation Zengeziwe Msimang spoke of how Oliver Tambo meant the world to her and an entire generation of people who remember what it was like to live during apartheid.

“The words that you will be walking past every day represent the values for which Oliver Tambo stood. These are values that as a foundation we want future generations to embrace and to live by. Honesty, respect, selflessness and courage. These are the values that freed the nation and have the potential to unlock endless opportunities for future generations.”
Undeterred by the rain, Duma Nkosi, chairperson of the Tambo Foundation, and Tambo’s grandson Dante Tambo cut the ribbon to officially unveil the memorial wall located at the Preparatory School.
