WATCH: Another break-in at Aloe Ridge Primary School, every cupboard ransacked

Desktops and laptops were stolen during a burglary at Aloe Ridge Primary School.

In less than 24 days, Aloe Ridge Primary School in Walkerville has been burgled twice, thieves getting away with laptops and desktops.

On April 15 thieves got away with 38 laptops after the burglary, and again on May 9 more school property was stolen, including seven desktops and three laptops.

The administrator at the school, Melody van Aardt, said these criminals do not think about the children because they are taking from their future.

ā€œI’m at a loss for words. The administrative block is in a mess, they ransacked every office, taking desktops and laptops. They even used grinders to open the steel door to a room to a safe and then used the grinder again to open the safe. Fridges were left open and all the taps left running,ā€ she said.

On May 10 when the COURIER visited the school, some of the personnel were standing outside as they cannot work.

Van Aardt said the case is with De Deur SAPS.
