Father’s Day treat at Carnival City

Fathers are in for a treat at Carnival City

Fathers are in for a treat this Father’s Day when Simply Electronics will come to Carnival City to put top South African audio manufacturers on show.

The stereo music show is an opportunity for music lovers to hear some of South Africa’s homegrown and internationally acclaimed amplifiers, speakers, and turntables put through their paces. Simply Electronics co-founder Joel Kopping said the show aims to demonstrate to listeners just how music should be heard.

Kopping, former assistant editor of Audio Video Magazine and renowned AV expert, said that the show will be open for three days, June 18 from noon, June 19 from 9am and June 20 from 9am. The cost per person is R100.

“For R100 entrance fee, you get to listen to music the way it is meant to be enjoyed, meet the manufacturers as well as receive a meal voucher courtesy of RocoMamas Carnival City.”

Among the manufacturers who will be displaying their wares are turntable manufacturers Reference Audio and Revolve turntables, speaker maker Sonor Audio, Valve Audio, which custom makes valve amplifiers and PL Audio who also manufacture pre and power amplifiers. Preamps and phono stages will also be on display, courtesy of Tube Phonic.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, booking is essential with time slots available per day.
