Young SA riders on their way to compete in Uganda
The Motocross of African Nations Continental Championship will, as always, be an action-packed weekend for the riders and spectators, with guaranteed exciting racing and the usual wonderful hospitality by the host Federation.
Seventeen South African riders will be crossing the border to compete at the 2022 FIM Africa Motocross of African Nations Continental Championship (MXOAN), hosted by the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of Uganda at the renowned Victoria Raceway Park, Garuga, Entebbe, Uganda, from August 19 to 21.
The MXOAN is one of the few motorcycle events recognised as a team event, where the points of the official riders are tallied to determine who the winning African nation will be. Riders from North, South, East and West Africa will test their mental and physical limitations over the two days.
South Africa is the reigning champion when it comes to the number of wins on the continent and hope to retain this title with another win in 2022.
Uganda is well known for having plenty of spectators, so it will be exciting for the riders.
The MSA Motocross Commission wishes the South African team all the very best and encourages all motorsport enthusiasts to show their support.
