Paper truck crashes through racecourse fence
A TRUCK believed to be carrying paper crashed and spilled its cargo on the northbound onramp to the M4 near Clairwood Racecourse at about 8am this morning, 4 October.
It is not known what caused the accident, but the truck and its payload had fallen to the side of the road, breaking the fence and onto the racecourse property. Access to the off-ramp is still blocked and Metro Police are on scene to investigate the incident.
Another truck had to be brought in to hoist the damaged vehicle from the scene and the removal process is still ongoing.
