Montclair PO licks the competition
AN almost perfect score of 99.67% earned Montclair Post Office the honour of being crowned the best post office nationally.
At an event at the Olive Convention Centre, Durban on 14 September Montclair Post Office received awards for the best performing post office nationally. They also scooped awards for the most consistent performance and best customer service as well as the award for the best performing post office in the province.
In an annual audit, the SA Post Office determines which post offices adhere to requirements that affect customer service. These include cleanliness, prompt distribution of mail, notifications to customers and queue times.
Branch manager, Premilla Govender said: “It is through hard work, dedication, respecting and understanding each other. We have grown into a family in the office. We thank our area manager, Petro Barnard for his support as well as regional management for recognising us for our performance. We also thank the Montclair community for their continued support.”
With only a staff complement of four, the post office still manages to serve about 320 customers daily as well as deliver 150 parcels and letters per day.
