YWP’s Logan storms into world amateur golf finals

Yellowwood Park golfer, Logan Sunny putted his way into the national finals of the 19th Amateur World Golfers Championship at Cotswold Downs and Durban Country Club courses on 9 and 10 September.

Logan who claimed second spot in the qualifying round came third in his division at the finals. He shot 75 at both Cotswold Downs and Durban Country Club, three over par in each round. “I practiced a lot leading up to the competition, thanks to the Bluff National Park Golf Club, where I’m a member, for allowing me to practice. The event was one of the best tournaments I have played in and the greatest experience ever,” said Logan.

It was his first time competing in the event and hopes to do better next year. “Golf is a game where you socialise, enjoy each other’s company and help one another to improve. This is more important than only winning. I believe if you can dream it you can make it,” said a determined Logan.
