Two women robbed by ‘school boy’ robbers

Women stabbed three times.

MONTCLAIR SAP issued a warning to residents who walk in Benson, Langton, Crozier and Blamey roads.
This comes after a number of robberies were reported in the roads.

In one incident, a woman sustained multiple stab wounds after she was accosted by two men on the corner of Langton and Benson roads on Monday, 31 March. Two men approached the woman, who was on her way to work at about 6am. They forced her to kneel on the ground. The men stabbed her three times before making off with her cellphone and money.

Later on in the morning, a woman was robbed by three knife-wielding men in Blamey Road. They made off with her handbag containing her cellphone, bank cards and money.

Police warn the public to be aware of three young men operating in the area. They are alleged to be disguising themselves as school pupils. They wear grey pants and either a blue or burgundy jersey. Anyone with information about the young men can contact the Montclair police station on 031-469-8200.
