Rape witnesses sought
Police need help locating a man wanted for the rape of a woman.
THE public is urged to assist the Brighton Beach Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit to locate a man suspected of raping a woman in Umbilo on Wednesday, 12 March.
A 28-year-old woman was waiting for a friend alongside Rick Turner Road at about 1.40pm when she was approached by a man who allegedly threatened her with a broken bottle, before repeatedly raping her. He fled the scene on foot.
The woman described her attacker as short and slender build with a very dark complexion. He was wearing jeans, a black T-shirt and cream hat during the attack. He is believed to be foreign of about 26-years-old.
