Three-week-old baby hit by car
A baby is in critical condition following a collision on the Bluff.
A THREE-week-old boy is in a serious condition at Chief Nkosi Albert Luthuli Hospital after he and his mother were hit by a car at the intersection of Solomon Mahlangu Drive (Edwin Swales VC) and Bluff Road on Monday, 14 April at about 8am.
Rescue Care operations manager, Rowan Scandroglio found the injured baby on the road, next to his mother. She immediately began manually ventilating him, while she waited for Rescue Care advanced life support assistance. Once on scene, the support team stabilised the baby and his mother and transported them to hospital.
The cause of the incident is unknown but police are investigating.
