Taxi goes up in flames

MEMBERS of the Jacobs Fire Station attended the scene of taxi fire in Jacobs yesterday morning, 23 April at about 9.45am.

Witnesses said people were running away from a green taxi, which quickly went up in flames at the corner of Quality Street and Chamberlain Road. It has been confirmed that firemen attended the scene and doused the flames, but it is not known if there were any injuries or what the cause of the fire was.
