Woman found dead after a night of drinking
Member of the public calls for the bar to be closed down.
A NIGHT of drinking ended on a sour note when the lifeless body of a young woman was found the following morning at a bar in Kenyon Howden Road on Friday, 2 May.
It is alleged the woman and her boyfriend, who live on the premises, retired for the night after drinking. Her boyfriend awoke the following morning and saw her lying on the floor and thought she was still alive. It is alleged he went to open the bar and when he returned, he tried to wake her up only to realise she was dead.
A concerned member of the public, who wished to remain unnamed for safety reasons said: “I saw a group of young men in the bar looking mournful. They left the bar and I followed them to see where they were going. I saw them laughing and jumping around. That place needs to be closed down. It won’t be the last time something like this happens.”
Montclair SAP are investigating further.
