Teen burglars netted in joint effort
Park Patrol and Metro Police dog unit corner house buglars.
FIVE men, aged between 15 and 20, were arrested for housebreaking in Woodhaven on Wednesday, 30 April.
The men were making their way inside a Finfoot Street property when they were spotted by the resident.
Alerted to the intrusion, the resident pressed the panic button. Security company Park Patrol pursued them as they fled on foot.. Metro Police’s dog unit joined in the chase for the men.
Hot on their heels, Park Patrol and Metro Police boxed them in in Swans Mile. Their attempt to evade the long arm of the law came to a swift end and they were arrested and charged with housebreaking.
They appeared in Durban Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 2 May. The stolen items were returned to their rightful owner.
