Ward 64 has something to smile about

According to statistics on wazimap.com, Durban’s ward 64 (Montclair, Yellowwood Park, Woodlands) may be one of the better suburbs to live in.

The site informs us that 98.2% of residents in the area are receiving refuse disposal services from the local government or private companies. 96.2% of people in the have access to running water from a regional or local provider. This is a staggering 28.9% more than the provincial average. Also under the service delivery heading, 99.1% have electricity for at least cooking, heating or lighting. This figure ranks 25% higher than the provincial average.

Ward 64 also boasts 17,062 registered voters, of which 55% cast their vote.
