A SCUFFLE between tenants at a Cloete Road, Woodlands residence turned fatal when a man was stabbed to death on Saturday night, 24 May.
It is alleged the deceased, who was drunk at the time, started the fight between him and another tenant after receiving a faulty key, making it difficult for him to enter the property. According to Montclair SAP investigating officer, W/O Rico Naidoo, the deceased, after an initial encounter with the fellow tenant left to continue drinking. He returned with some of his friends and a brawl erupted.
The tenant, who also sustained stab wounds, was arrested at the scene by Montclair SAP officers. He is due to appear in Durban Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 27 May on murder charges.
