Domestic worker tied-up after disturbing burglars

House robbers gag and tie-up domestic worker.

UNAWARE her Yellowwood Park employer’s house was being ransacked, a domestic employee walked in on the armed robbers as they were pillaging on Tuesday, 20 May.

As she was walking down the passageway, three men, one armed with a gun, were pillaging the house. After seeing her, they commanded her to keep quiet. They waved a gun in her face, took her outside, gagged, tied-up and left her next to the pool.

They continued their looting, making off with a flat-screen TV and other electronic items. Two hours later, the home-owner noticed the kitchen door was ajar. Calls for the helper went unanswered. Moments later, she was found lying tied-up, next to the pool.

The men who were undeterred by security features, broke through the lounge window and dislodged the burglar guards. Montclair SAP confirmed that fingerprints were recovered.
