Run along to Million Mile
Members of the public are invited to join in the spectacle.
GOLD Circle hosts the third running of KZN Breeders Million Mile at Clairwood Racecourse on Sunday, 29 June.
The race is open only to horses which have been bred in the province. KZN trainers are hoping to turn their fortunes around, as the Gauteng trainers have reigned supreme in previous years.
The first race of the day will kick of at 11.20am. Contenders in this race, dubbed the maiden plate, will battle against each other for their first career win. Racers only have 1,450 metres to scoop first place, which will see them pocket R200,000.
Nine more nail-biting races will follow, leading to the feature race will take place at 3.25pm. The prize in the main race is R1 million. Only KZN bred three-year-olds and older are allowed to compete in the race, which covers 1,600 metres.
Members are invited to join in the day’s festivities. The theme for the day is black and white. Entrance is free.
