Knock-out soccer challenge kicks off
The Durban South play-offs are yet to be completed.
THE much-anticipated Engen U17 soccer Knock-out Challenge draw took place at Tara Road’s Engen Refinery, Wentworth on Tuesday, 24 June.
The provincial leg of the tournament is set to kick-off at the Highbury Sports Ground in Wentworth from Friday, July 11 to Sunday, July 13. Hoping to clinch the coveted title, 16 teams from around the province will battle it out over the weekend.
The winner of the KZN leg will compete in the competition’s first inter-provincial tournament in Gauteng in October, where the Engen champs of champs will be crowned. The Durban South play-offs are however yet to be completed. The four top teams will take their respective slots in the draw.
