A 40-YEAR-old man is lucky to be alive, after hijackers shot him twice in South Coast Road, Mobeni on Wednesday morning, 16 July.
He was approached by two gun-wielding men, who smashed the driver’s side window and shot him in the face. As he staggered out of his company’s vehicle, the assailants shot him in the stomach. Fortunately, the bullet in the head missed the main artery and the second did not lodge in his stomach.
Police spokesman, Thulani Zwane confirmed he is in a stable condition in hospital.
Montclair SAP are investigating a case of hijacking. No arrests have been made yet and the vehicle has not been recovered.
