Landslide repairs almost complete
REPAIRS to Chipstead Avenue on the Bluff are almost complete, nearly six months after a burst water pipe caused a landslide that claimed the roadway and much of the supporting embankment.

The municipal engineers were on site today along with ward 66 councillor,Duncan Du Bois to review the structural work which has been completed. All that remains is for the water pipes to be completed before the roadway is re-opened to the public. This is expected to take about one week.
Check out our site tomorrow for more updates on this story, including the costs and the environmental factors taken into account when reconstructing the hillside.
