The robbery occurred between 6pm on Saturday, 2 August and 11am Sunday, 3 August while the homeowners were away. Magnets were used to bypass the alarm signal so movement could not be detected. If anyone has information regarding this incident, contact Montclair Police Station on 031-469-8200.
In a separate incident, copper pipes were stolen at a home in Jacana Place, Yellowwood Park on Tuesday, 5 August at about 1.45pm. A woman noticed a man in her yard and went to call her neighbour for help. By the time she returned, the thief escaped with a metre of copper pipe.
In another incident two thieves tried to break-in in a home in Honeysucker Avenue on Tuesday, 5 August at about 7.15am. The home owner pressed the panic button and the thieves fled.
