Car guard thwarts car remote jammer

Three alert car guards apprehended a man jamming car remotes.

A WOULD-BE thief was stopped in his tracks, thanks to an alert car guard at a Bluff shopping centre on Tuesday, 22 July.

A local car guard, Henry Bonde, noticed a suspicious man watching as shopper, Steven East, had difficulty locking his car with his remote. The man, who appeared to be jamming the signal, tried to run away when he noticed he was being watched by a car guard. Along with two of his colleagues, Bonde chased and caught him.

Brighton Beach SAPS was contacted and the man was arrested. The car guards, Henry Bonde and Chris and Romain Bapoma were rewarded for their actions with cash from East and Tactical Security Services and certificates from Tactical and the police.
