Become a volunteer at Crow

No experience is required, just a passion for animals and their welfare.

TO become a volunteer at the Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (Crow) members of the public must be 16-years or older.
No experience is required, just a passion for animals and their welfare. “It is a great way to meet people from all different walks of life as our international volunteer programme brings volunteers from all over the globe,” said marketing and communications officer, Paul Hoyte.

A volunteer’s day begins Monday to Sunday at 7am with the animals food prep and then feeding. “At any given time Crow has over 300 animals being cared for at the centre and without volunteers, we would not be where we are today,” said Hoyte. The last feed is their afternoon feed which starts at 1pm and finishes at 3pm. Volunteers are included in rescues and releases where possible. To become a volunteer contact Crow on 031-462-1127

On Wednesday, 29 October Crow will host a charity golf day at Durban Country Club. The cost is R2,000 per fourball – this includes green fees, a goodie bag and a prizegiving dinner. Golfers can also sponsor a hole. For bookings or sponsorship, call Paul on 031-462-1127.
