Youth Revolution Workshop steers local teens
Youth workshop helps teens to better their lives.
ACCEPTING the baton of responsibility for the next generation were South Durban youngsters who attended a Youth Revolution Workshop in Wentworth aimed at teaching them how to lead successful and worthwhile lives.
The workshop, hosted by the South Durban Community Environmental Alliance, Blue Roof Wellness Centre and Mothers Prayer Group, saw pupils from local schools interact with professionals.

Topics debated included substance abuse, subject choices and opportunities to be volunteers within their communities. Business women shared stories and encouraged the youngsters to rise up against challenges they face to make a success of themselves.
The pupils were encouraged to make use of the adolescent class at the Blue Roof Wellness Centre that offers counselling and assistance with health issues and youth-friendly Gateway Clinic at Wentworth Hospital.
NGOs, ECD centres, clinics, hospitals and other community facilities are encouraged to give these pupils opportunities to volunteer ahead of the next workshop, which will focus more extensively on community services. Contact Romany Roberts on 031-461-5266 for details.
